
Nerys Pearce

Swimming Instructor

Nerys is an ASA level 2 swimming teacher and level 2 outdoor swim coach. She has been teaching swimming for 26 years. She is also qualified as a gym, triathlon, kayaking instructor and a massage therapist.
Nerys is a retired army medic and was left paralysed from the chest down after a road traffic accident. She now holds 9 world records and 43 international medals.
She regularly competes in open water swim events and has won Windermere one way, adur 5km and medalled in many more endurance swims against able bodied competitors. She has completed channel relays and attempted the English channel solo.
In the short time I have known Nerys I have been blown away by her coaching ability and in depth knowledge on swim strokes and skills.
Nerys holds her Level 1 and Level 2 teaching qualification. Fully insured by the institute of swimming and DBS check.
